Student Advice: Settling-in support
Beginning your Leeds Beckett journey is exciting, but we know that being a student is not always plain sailing. As you settle into university life you might be feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or worried. Perhaps you can’t quite put your finger on what doesn’t feel right… or you might have concerns about your wellbeing, finances, your course, or something else. This is very normal, and we’re here to help.

Your Student Services Advisers will support you throughout your time here at university, from when you first arrive at university, as your progress through your studies, through to graduation. Come along to our Settling in Support Sessions for information, advice and guidance on any worries or issues you are experiencing. We’ll help you to find your feet.

The Student Wellbeing Team will be offering daily drop in appointments for the first two weeks of term (20th September – 1st October). We welcome any student with concerns about their mental health and wellbeing to use these appointments. These will be brief appointments where we will offer a listening ear, guidance and signposting.

Students are welcome to use these appointments to discuss anything that might come up during those first two weeks; whether they are a new or returning student. We know that during those weeks there may be uncertainty, homesickness, and course related worries.
