ucas points calculator

Generally, if you have received a qualification after leaving school you will be awarded UCAS tariff points*. The amount of points you get is dependent both on the grades you get, and the type of qualification (A Levels get different points to some BTECs, for example).

Here at Leeds Beckett we use UCAS points as part of our entry requirements, so you can use our handy calculator to find out what your qualifications are worth.

*Points are applied to Level 3/SCQF Level 6 qualifications, Level 2 qualifications such as your GCSEs will not be awarded points

The first thing you'll need to do is to find out what types of qualification you have.

When entering your A Level results into the calculator there is no need to also include your AS results for that course as they will already be counted.

There are lots of BTECs listed in the calculator, make sure to check the qualification title (i.e. Diploma or Extended Diploma) with your teacher or advisor if you're not sure which is correct, as these are awarded different points.

Once you've selected your qualification, add your grade as well then press 'Add Qualification.' If you make a mistake, you can remove a qualification from the table.

When you've added all your qualifications, your total UCAS tariff points will be displayed.

Don't worry if you can't see your qualification on our list, that doesn't necessarily mean we don't accept it. If you need to check with us, please give us a call on 0113 812 3113.

Much like with your main application, our entry requirements vary by course. You can find out how many UCAS tariff points our Clearing courses need on our online prospectus.

If you're concerned that you haven't worked out your points correctly, then a member of our team will be able to help. If you need to check with us, please give us a call on 0113 812 3113.

Now that you know your UCAS tariff points, and have an idea of what course you might like to study, give us a call on 0113 812 3113 to talk to us about securing your place at Leeds Beckett University. Or, if you'd prefer, you can get in touch via live chat or speak to our chatbot Becky who can make you an offer 24/7.
